i'm listening to this album for like, the third time as i type this up. i've had it on my ipod for a while but just got around to listening today.
this is such a tremendous blend of black metal and folk music. i'm such a sucker for that kind of stuff. the four tracks [clocking in at just over 50 minutes] are loaded with thrashy, epic [for lack of a better term] riffage interspersed with medieval sounding instruments like lutes, flutes, harps, piano. there's only one guy behind this band, which i find pretty awesome. and his fucking name is SAURON.
it's really incredible and i highly recommend that you download this. if you're a fan of such music.
just a note: this was recently upped on belabor, which just went private again. so this is for those of you who don't have access to it.
