mostly because i'm in a listening rut.
i've been getting a bunch of emails from bands who want their shit spread around so i might as well do my part. these are three of the more worthy bands. i really recommend downloading all three albums.

the most noteworthy thing is this swiss band called rorcal.
they put out their fifth album called "Heliogabalus" last year.
i'm listening to it now actually and....well. fuck. it's really good.
it's a single 70 minute long song filled with doom and drone and i can say it's for fans of music like blutch, maybe. and there's a little bit of mare in there, for those of you who remember that band.
what's also remarkable is the packaging for this album...i'm a huge nerd when it comes to stuff like that but i think it's worthy of mention. black on black with a red sealing wax? yes, please.
i recommend this highly. for whatever the shit that's worth.

it's....black metal. ish. it's not bad. kind of thrashy, kind of chuggy, kind of melodic. with a few slow parts. sounds like it would be schizophrenic sounding but they blend everything together well.
also. i like the cover art.

last band is called passenger.
these guys are friends with WUSS, a band that we reviewed and posted here a while back.
they call themselves a 'hardcore / punk band with a heavy shoe-gaze influence.'
i usually hate things that might be labelled hardcore or punk, but i really dig this a lot. i can't say that there's nothing out there like this because i don't know, but i've certainly never heard a combination of those genres done so well.
the last track is particularly awesome.
listen.

Let me post on your fuckass blog, maybe the people who read it will actually care when I post about music unlike those hooting dickholes on the board.
Here's Teeth of the Sea's new record "Your Mercury," it is better than anything posted here in the last year.
