yob is one of those bands i see that everyone likes, so it makes perfect sense that i am largely indifferent towards them. their last album was billed as album of the year and best sludge album for years. but if you really think about it releasing the best sludge album in a genre where neurosis shows up every 3 years and isis has been irrelevant in since 2002 is about as impressive as being the best rapper since biggy died. so really congrats yob on being the best car made out of soap.

its the laziest thing to ride a genre until you think its dead then turn on it, but in all honesty i've downloaded the same record so many times by 300 bands that i feel like i deserve to at least slap them with a rolled up newspaper. maybe yob deserved more out of me given their success amongst my piers? ...piers? but i mean honestly if i read pitchfork were assholes for worshiping kanye's record and not cessation again i'll walk. yob have 0 tracks featuring rick ross. what the fuck do you people expect?

what a great name for a record, but so disarming in its own nature. my boy david lynch told me that In Vedic science, this field is called Atma, the self, know thyself....that will be my most obscure reference ever on this blog and i'm sorry for involving you guys with it.

so yeah i guess this will be asked to be taken down, but i'd like whoever issues that statement to know that i'm doing this out of due diligence to keep you honest and to get a quick spike in hits sorry to use you like this.
