So girl doom from providence. Which if you've ever met a girl from providence makes perfect sense.
I remember seeing this band live one time but I wasn't really paying attention because it was during a Red Sox or Celtics game and i am an emotional invalid when sports are on. and since the bruins are about to start big surprise I am in the same boat all over again. I recently remembered them and wanted to hear them again along with some weird black metal band called 'the hard drugs' No luck finding the hard drugs but i found these broads record. and it does not disappoint. kind of low flying under the hype radar which has to be a plus to some of you given the fact yob is opening for tool on some dates. and overpraised metal act + mainstream rock act = nightmare.
Doom with girl vocals might just be a hacky move but I really like it. It somehow gives it instant credibility to me which it probably does not deserve. Maybe I'm just lazy and refuse validation to anything unless its gimmicky now. But whatever I'm sold.
speaking of lazy I haven't offered any real comparisons or descriptions of this band. so here are some haikus
