Sharon and the daps

this is what i've been listening to non-stop lately heart breakingly passionate vocals from a lady who if she was 19 and less aretha looking would be known as alisha keyes 2.0, with a gread funk bros-esque (google them and drop your jaw) band behind them. its too bad there's no room for ugly people in music now besides underground stuff, the world needed elton john and his awful overbite and terrible mop top. ...BEYOOOOND THE YELLLOW BRIIICK ROOOO-OOOO-OOOOADDDDD
AAAHHHHHHHHH AHHA AHHHH AHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

if you like james marvin p-funk nina bootsy otis motown or al green's one good song you'd love this

if not i'll upload something that sounds like katatonia or sleep in a week and you guys will be happier while you pay 40$ for records on ebay that you could find for 22$ on distro sites

i wish music like this didn't die out, or at least i wish i was smart enough to know where to find it, or cared enough, whatever i love this album and as luck would have it she was on the best show of all time austin city limits a week ago so i'm gonna go watch her strut around on stage and stare at the mole on her face and feel like i'm cultured and shit, look for me to guest vocal on the next dead prez cd called "well we got the presidency and everything still sucks now what are we gonna belly ache about"

amy winehouse actually stole the dap kings from sharon for her back to black album recording sessions, and they were her backing band when she toured the US.
