I like my dose of death metal …

I know I’m a bit monotonous with the posts here, in spite of the fact that I actually like many genres of metal. But there's so much good stuff, old and new stuff, on death metal that I can’t refrain from posting some of it!
Well, I guess it’s early to give a judgment about what the best death metal release of 2010 will be.
In this light my brother Huansoahn recently posted a superb album, the one about the Swedish band The Grotesquery, the newest creature of Rogga Johansson and Johan Berglund (Paganizer, Edge of Sanity, Demiurg, Those Who Bring The Torture, the finest doom act The 11th Hour, etc.).
I’m "replying" to Huasoahn with the newest release by another Swedish death metal band, this time a long-lived one (active since the 90's), Nominon.
Their last, killer effort, Monumentomb, is out on label Deathgasm, together with their split with the US band Sathanas (limited edition – check on myspace).

Like in their previous awesome releases (Terra Necrosis, Recremation), they keep on with their purest old-school death metal, aggressive riffs with some razor-like accelerations reminding me either Bloodbath in their death’n’rollish moments or else fierce Slayer style. Excellent vocal parts have Henke Skoog’s deep growls sometimes coupled with background blackish screams, which increase the sense of dark and filth and hatred. That bit of melody here and there doesn’t diminish the impact of this metal slab ...

Really bored with this revivalist old school.

(nothing against you)

Well, these guys actually don't do any revival because they basically never stopped doing this stuff ... :-)
The real (commercial/nostalgic) revival (or reanimation) is more of the last band I posted, Nirvana2002.
They just released old stuff, very good but old. No new stuff done.

The archive is corrupt. Can this be found elsewhere?

Thanks for the alert, samh. Sorry for that, I'll re-up it immediately.

Cool. The first track wasn't corrupt and I liked the sound of that so I'm stoked to hear the rest. Perhaps you can post another comment when it's uploaded so I'll be emailed to know it's done? Thanks.
