They contributed to build up the mythical Swedish death metal panorama in the late 80s-early 90s and then sort of disappeared. They are back and will be feeding the lively death metal flame in the Death Fest in Baltimore next May.
Nirvana 2002, a.k.a. N2002, formed in Edsbyn (Sweden) in 1988 originally as Prophet 2002 (name of an old analog synthetizer) then as Nirvana, and eventually as Nirvana 2002.
Last year they released a fat compilation of their 1989-1991 production through Relapse Records.
This album is in perfect line and timing with the release of the excellent opus (book plus CD collection) by Daniel Ekeroth on the old school Swedish death metal. Shame on you if you don’t have a copy of Daniel Ekeroth’s stuff ...
