Do Make Say Think - The Other Truths (2009)

i worship this band and all its releases. i put them just under gy!be and mogwai and with good reason. at no point do i ever feel like any of these three bands drag a song out unnaturally. everything seems honest and organic and unforced. its almost like they heard the redsparowes and said lets fix everything they did wrong. lets not add 5 minutes to a song just to do it. lets not have a pretentious run on sentence for a song title. lets not just be a mediocre band that would dwell in obscurity if we didn't have a dude from isis in us. granted i like the dude from isis in redsparowes he was great in the gersch which is a highly underrated musical act along with windmills by the ocean

and to me just always seemed likable.

i digress...

4 tracks 8,10,12,12 minutes long of some of the best music you can find. band has 8 releases now and eventually they'll get some of the credit they've deserved for years that other bands that had one good album they will never replicate (hey whats up grails and this will destroy you fans) get undeservedly. i'll never understand how the hype machine works, and what bands are worthy and which bands aren't of being added to such a cannon for douches. after 8 releases now how this band isn't in everyone's top 3 is beyond me, maybe they need an affiliation with neurosis or something to get the bearded messenger bag crowd jocking them.
